Would You Like To Supersize That?

Be honet, are these the words you want coming out of your mouth when you are in your sixties or seventies? I bet not. However, there are so many people that have not prepared themselves financially for retirement. This month, Newsweek magazine printed a feature story noting that over fifty percent of women are, "not confident in their ability to retire comfortably and don't have a retirement strategy." This is a sad reality. Nonetheless, there are a few common components contributing to this postion: most of the people who have lost their jobs have not been able to make substantial contributions to their 401k plans. Furtermore, in even more extreme cases, some individuals were forced to cash out their 401k accounts and use the money for incurring debts. Then the there are others who were privileged enough to retain their jobs, but had to cut back or stop their 401k contributions while many employers did the same thing. When in this postion, many people can't help but ask themselves the same questions: if I don't start saving money now how will I handle my less than acceptable financial position when I am older? While on the other hand if I eliminate cash flow from my budget right now to place in a savings plan, will I be able to make my financial obligations?

Life Insurance VS A Retirement Policy

There are too many people who have insufficient retirement packages offered from their jobs and their security for financial well being is compromised for their old age. Some people do not have any type of retirement package and will be forced to live off of their social security payments. Social security alone is not enough for anyone to live the lifestyle they were accustomed to while working. Many people will be forced to sell their homes and their value of living will decrease incredibly.
